Our Vietnamese Gambling Help Service (VGHS) offers free, confidential support and counselling in English or Vietnamese to help you or your loved one reduce gambling-related harms and take steps towards a healthier future.
Who can access this service?
Anyone from a Vietnamese background who has been negatively impacted by gambling problems can access this service.

How can we help?
We can provide the following supports to individuals or loved ones who are impacted by the effects of gambling problems:
Individual assessment and one-on-one support services that assist you and your family to reduce the negative impacts of gambling.
Information and education on intervention options to address gambling problems and other related issues, including family and social relations, mental health, housing, employment, and legal matters.
Assistance to access financial counselling and other services.
Experienced staff who are well-trained in working with individuals and families who are bilingual and multicultural.
Gambling Therapy Service
CAASSA provides a specialist treatment service for Vietnamese people experiencing problems with gambling.
The therapy service is:
Based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy that aims to break the relationship between triggers and gambling.
Offered in weekly 1-hour treatment sessions, for 8-12 weeks.
Family inclusive — clients can bring a friend or family member for support during sessions.
Community Education
Community education aims to:
Reduce the stigma associated with gambling issues.
Increase community awareness around gambling problems and how to reduce harms associated with gambling.
Encourage people with gambling problems and their families to seek help early.
