Commonwealth Home Support Program
Community Access and Services SA’s (CAASSA) Aged Care service is funded by the Australian Federal Government Department of Health, Disability, and Ageing under the Commonwealth Home Support Program ‘(CHSP)’.
CAASSA’s Aged Care services aim to provide culturally and linguistically appropriate services to care recipients, who wish to remain living at home for as long as possible.
We have a dedicated and experienced team of staff and volunteers who are passionate about supporting their community. We show strong commitment and empathy in providing our clients with friendly, efficient, non-discriminatory, and respectful care.
How much do our services cost?
You will normally be asked to pay for the cost of materials and contributions towards services we provide, depending on your income test and the type of services you need.

Our other services include
Social support group
Older people are able to access a range of group-based programs to encourage active community engagement and reduce social isolation. The groups operate on:
- Monday: at the Vietnamese Community Centre, from 10am – 1pm
- Tuesday: at the Vietnamese Community Centre, from 10am – 1pm
- Thursday: at the Vietnamese Community Centre, from 10am – 1pm
Centre-based respite
Held weekly Mondays 10 am – 1 pm, this group is specifically for elderly people living in the Western suburbs who are frail or live with dementia.
Outings
An annual outing is organised for existing service users, allowing them to experience a day-trip and connect with other people.
Language Support and Advocacy
CAASSA also provides language support services, including translation services for older Vietnamese people, to allow them to access services.
