Outreach Psychosocial Services
South Australia (OPSSA)
OPSSA provides person-centred, psychosocial support that helps people experiencing mental health challenges to live independently and well in the community. They also support people to apply for and plan their transition to NDIS services.
Outreach Psychosocial Services South Australia takes a two-tiered approach to support:
Tier 1: Intensive Crisis Support
Provides flexible, intensive support and case management.
Helps individuals reduce distress and enhance wellbeing.
Delivered over a six-week period to address immediate concerns, improve safety, and establish connections with ongoing community support.
Tier 2: Non-Acute Psychosocial Support
Offers moderate-intensity psychosocial support and case management.
Focuses on independence and quality of life improvement.
Available for four months, with an optional extension up to 12 months when needed.
This tier supports individuals in achieving their goals, developing life skills, securing stable housing, strengthening relationships, fostering social connections, and exploring personal growth opportunities. Additionally, it assists clients in assessing their eligibility for NDIS, applying for access, and transitioning successfully to NDIS services as a core pathway.
